Fire protection is of elemental importance for an industrial business. Practically every single sector faces the risk of fire – be it because they use inflammable substances, carry out hot work such as welding and soldering or have production processes requiring high temperatures. Thanks to its professional fire retardant coatings, XERVON Oberflächentechnik can help greatly reduce this risk and support an operation’s fire control and protection management team.
XERVON Oberflächentechnik applies fire retardant coatings to steel, aluminium and tinplate structures. These range, for example, from buildings and pipelines, to tanks and vessels, all the way through to large-scale fire protection elements. Our applications cover all fire resistance categories including the highest fire resistance category F180. Moreover, our systems fulfil all fire protection categories for building materials in line with DIN 4102 and EN 13501-1.

Cellulosic fires and hydrocarbon (or hydrocarbon pool) fires are considered to be particularly dangerous. Both of these kinds of fire reach temperatures of 1,100°C – with hydrocarbon fires heating up to this temperature extremely quickly. We apply specialty high performance coatings to protect plants and components in at-risk areas, in particular tanks and vessels, including those containing radioactive materials.
